Nicole completed her BOccTher degree at the University of Kwa Zulu-Natal in 2008. She was awarded the Top Student award and Top Achiever in Physical Theory and Fieldwork award in her final year of study. Nicole completed her BCommerce in 2015 (Cum Laude) and is SI trained. She completed her Masters in Occupational Therapy in 2019 titled: Use of the ICAM Splint Programme in Zone IV to VII Extensor Tendon Repairs: Patient outcomes and clinician experiences in a specialised hand unit in SA. She has over 10 years of experience working in various acute hospital settings with hand related conditions. Her current place of employment is at Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital at a specialised Hand Unit. She manages services in the orthopaedic sub-section including a specialised Adult Burn Unit. Her special area of interest lies in hand rehabilitation and training.
Linda completed her BScOT degree at the University of the Witwatersrand in 2015. She discovered her interest in hand and upper limb rehabilitation while working in the specialised Hand Unit at Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital for the past 6 years. She went on to further her knowledge and skill in the management of Hand conditions by completing the Diploma in hand Therapy at the University of Pretoria in 2019. Linda has gained vast experience in the assessment and management of Orthopaedic conditions, including Hand rehabilitation, as well as Burn injury management while working in this acute hospital setting. She has special interest in hand rehabilitation and burns management, with emphasis on splint and pressure garment fabrication.
